A very cool dive into the Ventris Dual Reverb's advanced functionality. David (a.k.a. "@junu") describes himself as "just a dude who loves music and all stuff gear related" - it is evident from the clip below that he's also an excellent guitarist. This preset places a deep and sustaining Hall L engine in Reverb A, with a delay like Reverse engine stored in Reverb B. Tapping the OPTION switch engages a latching Hold function over the Hall L engine (which happens at roughly 1:09 in the SoundCloud clip below) and allows David to solo over its sustained chords with the Reverse engine. From there things get very interesting...

Ambient guitarist, Brett Wondrak (a.k.a. "Be Here Now") was looking for some "deep ocean vibes" when he created this wonderfully wet preset. The effect uses dual cascading engines to achieve its rich immersive tone. Reverb A contains the Shimmer engine, set down one octave. The Shimmer engine cascades into Reverb B's E-Dome engine for a long lingering sustain. After looping the primary riff, Brett uses a 100% wet version of the preset to conjure a rolling sequence of hypnotic tones. Enjoy...

We were all blown away by these dusty, wobbly, broken effect created by @dogeatswall. "Worn Out VHS" uses the Noise Tape engine dialed to 100% wet, with a heavy dose of some of the Nemesis Delay's more destructive parameters. By turning up parameters like Wow and Flutter, Distortion, Sample Rate Reduction, and Feedback Filter High and Low Cut, @dogeatswall created a sound that will mutate your instrument to a distant echo from the past.

​"Old Cassette" achieves a similar destructive effect with the Ventris Dual Reverb. For this preset, @dogeatswell combined the LoFi and Modverb engines to elicit this wonderfully haunting effect.

Our man @nathannavarro created this wonderfully singing reverb designed specifically to enhance an arpeggiated bass line. Nathan dialed in this sound with a long lingering E-Dome reverb and a pleasant mixture of modulation. You'll hear the Ventris preset enter at minute 1:38 in the video below (as you may have already surmised from the preset's apt title).

We recently had the pleasure of visiting Scott Totten, the touring guitarist and musical director for The Beach Boys, to talk about his guitar rig and the True Spring Reverb. Scott uses the True Spring's Tank engine for a super-drippy outboard spring reverb sound. He also has the True Spring's Bias Tremolo effect accessible with the External Tap Switch. Please note that in order to engage/bypass the tremolo with an external Tap Switch, you will need to select Tremolo Bypass/Engage from the Control Input Option menu of your True Spring Reverb's Hardware Options.

This exceptionally spacious Ventris Dual Reverb preset, created by @dickjonsify, features a parallel combination of the Hall L and EchoVerb engines. The clip below features the addition of a Kemper fuzz plug-in called the "Recti-Shaper," which plays very nicely with the Ventris. ​

​Our old friend Simon Francis (FX guru and touring bassist for Ellie Goulding) created this filthy square-wave style bass fuzz by cascading the Grated Bass and  Gated Fuzz III engines. It's a clear path to HUUUGE bass synth tones.

This excellent True Spring Reverb preset created by @brianmanker captures the sound of Keith Richards' rhythm track on the classic Rolling Stones track, "Gimme Shelter." The settings for the song's ghostly intro riff are a mixture a Short Spring Reverb engine with an Opto Tremolo effect.

Christopher Venter, the owner of Shoe Pedals (a killer pedal company out of Connecticut), created this Kevin Shields/shoegaze inspired preset for the Ventris Dual Reverb. The preset enters at around 2:44 in Chris' excellent recording - it's the BIG shoegazey guitar (you'll know it when you hear it). The riff includes two layered tracks, both with the "Slowfall Reverse" preset. The first track places the Ventris in front of a Shoe Pedals Jumper Overdrive in the signal, for a thick rhythm sound. The second features the Ventris in front of the Space Ritual Fuzz (also from Shoe Pedals) for a subtle "frying" sound. Christopher was a major contributor in the development of the Ventris Dual Reverb, his knowledge of pedals and reverb effects was invaluable. He's also a shoegaze aficionado. ​
