Our friend Corey Congilio is a tremendous guitarist out of Nashville, Tennessee, and we really could not be more impressed with his thorough rundown of the Atlas Compressor. Corey's playing is phenomenal and his knowledge of guitar gear and how to use it completely commends our attention. In his demo, Corey not only runs through some Atlas Compressor highlights, he also provides a quick tutorial on how compression works and some of the best practices and applications. His use of the Atlas' Opto Pedal circuit (based on the Diamond Opto Compressor pedal) for playing super-snappy funk riffs is exceptional, and his cover of Dire Straits' "Sultans of Swing" with the Dan Armstong Orange Squeezer inspired circuit is spot-on.
We absolutely recommend checking out Corey's Youtube Channel. In addition to demoing gear he also has tons of great guitar lessons for players of all levels.
