We love it when cool dudes from across the pond want to show off our gear in their studio. That's what's going on here, in Mauerfall Kollektiv's new series, Toys for the Studio.
Bruno from Mauerfall Kollektiv (MK) lays down some sweet ambient tones, getting the most out of the Ventris's more ambient, washy, and eccentric engines. In fact, he points out in the video, that more of the "traditional" sounds are found on the left side of the Ventris's encoder, while the right side contains more of the modern, ambient, and big-sounding 'verbs. Funnily enough, this is not something we'd considered, but Bruno is definitely onto something: left brain/ right brain, "Duality of Man" tendencies may come into play here.
Psychology geeking aside, Bruno from MK comes up with some sweet sounding tones with our engines and a ton of different instruments (including acoustic guitar and bass!) with ease.
