Does the Ultrawave do high-gain hard rock/metal? Yes, it does. Leon Todd is a fantastic guitarist from the Australian band Ragdoll. He also has an excellent YouTube channel that features lessons and musings on the hard rock/metal/proto-metal guitar heroes of the 70s and 80s. If you love Richie Blackmore and Uli Roth, you'll love Leon's channel. We originally got in touch with Leon after coming across his video on the Multiband Distortion (see the bottom of this page). It had been a long time since anybody explored the retro-futuristic tones of our original multiband processor, but Leon tore the roof of the joint with his killer demo, so we knew that we needed to hear him play through the Ultrawave. In both videos below Leon dives deep into the high-gain potential of the Ultrawave and how it should one day earn a spot in the "Hard Rock Hall of Guitar Tone Fame." We love how deep he went into the Neuro Editor to find some killer tones.
And the best news is that Leon has published some of his Ultrawave presets so the rest of us can reap the benefits. His Neuro user name is "2112" (big Rush fan). Click here to check out Leon's presets.
