Three Demos from Doug Hanson: Collider Delay+Reverb, Nemesis Delay ADT and Artifakt Lo-Fi Elements
Our friend Doug Hanson is very talented person. He's an excellent guitar player that always manages to combine the perfect sound with the perfect riff. Plus he who knows how to record stellar audio.
This video beautifully showcases the Collider Delay+Reverb in a band context then dives deep into an engine-by-engine tour. He also finds some beautiful sounds by combining reverb and delay effects. Great combinations include Reverse Delay with Enormo Dome Reverb, Swell Reverb with Enormo Dome Reverb, Swell Reverb with Reverse Delay, Analog Delay with Tape Delay - so many great combinations, so little time. Enjoy!
Nemesis Delay ADTA deep-dive into the Nemesis Delay ADT. Highlights include Doug's excellent use of the Helix engine in the opening track, adding some etherial sparkle above the rest of the band. He also recorded a great clip with the pristine delay sounds of the Digital engine. Setting the Digital engine to maximum delay Time with very high Feedback turns the Nemesis into a looper pedal of sorts. Its perfect playback with minimal degradation upon each repeat allows for some very fun and interesting layering effects.
Artifakt Lo-Fi ElementsDoug embraces the charm of imperfection with his Artifakt Lo-Fi Elements demo. His use of Artifakt's Radio engine perfectly captures the sound of a fading signal of distant radio tower. Plus his clip with the Glitch engine is one of the most musical uses that we have heard from that effect.
