Our old friend Pete Thorn recorded a genre-jumping rollercoaster ride in the opening track of this excellent Artifakt Lo-Fi Elements demo. Pete moves brilliantly from lo-fi ambience, to bombastic rock, to adrenalized funk, really capitalizing on the incredible flexibility of the Artifakt. He then goes on to explain how he achieved each sound in the track. The Artifakt is guitar effects pedal that explores all aspects of lo-fi, offering old vinyl and transistor radio simulations, bit crushing, sample rate reduction, Belton Brick style reverb, glitch effects and a Moog inspired ladder filter.
