Now matter where you are in terms of learing guitar, there is always something more to learn - even if you don't think there is.

Regardless of your stylistic interests, there is always someone that show you a thing or two that you don't know.

Yes, learning can be hard - but the good thing is that it's all a double-click away thanks to Netflix and Blockbuster online.

I browsed "guitar" in the search function of Netflix, and I could not believe all the great titles that came up. Instructional lessons by Eric Johnson, Jimmy Bruno, Andy Summers and Paul Gilbert. And movies from Tommy Steele (yes, very corny I realize) to Crossroads (can you ever forget the jaw-dropping solos that Steve Vai played?) and G3 in concert. Steve Vai live in London. Adrian Belew. King Crimson, Dream Theatre, David Torn, the list seemed endless.

And the subject matter was just as varied as the styles - how to solo over jazz changes, how to use effects (great dvd's by Adrian Belew and David Torn), how to play in an 80's "neo-classical" style (Yngwie) and how to play bossa nova. Imagine how good you'd be in a year after going over 1 dvd per month. Frightening.

I guess there's no excuse for us guitarists to no learn any longer.
