Thanks to the skills of "American Idol" contestant Blake Lewis, beatboxing (+96%) hip-hopped into the Buzz this week, and we finally have an excuse to talk about this underappreciated art. Ever since vocal percussion emerged from the roots of hip-hop, we've been big fans of the sounds.
All of our efforts to keep the beat with nothing but a microphone and an articulate oral cavity have failed over the years. Skilled practictioners like Biz Markie and Rahzel make it look so easy.
