Electric Guitar is Alive and Well!

All I can say after surviving NAMM 2007 is that the guitar is alive and well.Almost everywhere I looked, I heard terriffic players, and outstanding equipment was never more than 50 feet away - some by well know companies with huge booths upstairs, some by new bare-bones operations with little more than 10 square feet of booth space.
It's easy to think that guitar-centric music isn't aimed at "the masses" - that is, until tying to navigate by the Ibanez booth, with hundreds in line to hear Joe Satriani. And I heard it was easier to prove the validity of the Da Vinci code than it was to get a seat in the Fender booth the hear Eddie Van Halen debut his new line of guitars and amplifiers.
Add to the mix all the great guitar effects pedal companies, and we have more available on the table than we've ever had previously.
The new Hot hand Wireless controller made it's debut - (John 5 anyone? now there's the state-of-the-art modern guitarist) making it even easier to control the great sounds of the Hot hand. For us guitarists, it's a great time to be alive!
