Today was a great "Morning Becomes Eclectic" show on KCRW, and we heard a live performance and chat with missFlag, a great new band from Jerusalem. They have been featured on KCRW for a number of months, through their fantastic song "Hidden Theives".If you want to hear it, just go to www.myspace.com/missflag
Hearing a number of their other tunes today was also a treat - they have a unique sound - at times reminisicent of Peter Gabriel, Stevie Winwood, Coldplay and U2 - but the manage to forge their idenity into their melodic and textural songs - and often they take sections into an altogether different diection that I would expect - just like all the great bands do.
And, by the way, their most excellent guitarist, Assa, is a Hot Hand Wah user. I can't wait to hear what he does with it.
Check them out - I command you!
