"Can't We All Just Get Along?"
Perhaps easier for great sounding audio devices than for the Humans.
In fact, it's very easy for the Hot Hand and the Line 6 Pod XT Live to exist "hand in hand" (bad pun intended). In fact, once you try the two units together, you will say to yourself "I love it when things are this easy!".
Use a standard 1/4 inch cable from the Expression Out on the Hot Hand to the Pedal 2 Input of the XT Live. From there, press Edit and select Pedal Tweak Tempo - press Assign, then rotate the Effect Tweak knob to select Vol (which allows Hot Hand to control the Pod's output volume) or Tweak (which will allow Hot Hand to control the Pod's effects - which include Comp, Stomp, Mod, Delay, Reverb or Wah).
Of course, controlling Wah sounds (in this case, the Pod's Wah sounds) with the Hot Hand is a natural - as we have found out from the Hot Hand's own fantastic Wah tones.
Controlling distortion via the Hot hand is a very dynamic experience - as you can choose to summon forth a tidal wave of gain on certain notes, by the positioning of your picking hand.
And that's not covering the reverbs, delays or modulation effects in the XT Live. Of course, the rest is up to us - what can we come up with that best suits our music?
