Guitar Player Editors' Pick graphic

Another great review for our Soundblox Pro series pedals just arrived in the September 2010 issue of Guitar Player Magazine.  Reviewer Michael Ross describes the vintage tone inspired Soundblox Pro Classic Distortion as “a smorgasbord of great grit that would otherwise cost thousands in individual amps and pedals.” Plus, the unique and modern tones of the Soundblox Pro Multiwave Distortion earned it the “Editors’ Pick” award from the magazine. Ross hears “an abundance of amazing 21st century grit” in the pedal’s unique Multiband, Foldback and Octave distortion tones.

The Soundblox Pro Multiwave Distortion, a “must have” for the avant guitarist, was designed to take guitar distortion into bold new directions. The Multiwave’s use of Multiband processing as well as Foldback and Octave distortions offer a range of possibilities, from crisp, clean distortions to violent and gritty yet synthy tones that must be heard to fully understand. The pedal is not for conservatives—GP reminds us: “When Hendrix first used fuzz and wah pedals, they were considered as radical as the Multiwave”, and they credit Source Audio for giving them,  “a glimpse into an alternate distortion universe.”

The Soundblox Pro Classic Distortion, our stompbox for the guy who loves vintage tones, offers 11 different distortion types based on tried and true tube amp and solid-state fuzz boxes. Inspired tones include Marshall , Tube Screamer, Big Muff, Rat, Fuzz Face and Tone Bender to name a few. GP raves, “The Boogie-based Smooth Tube setting unleashed my inner Santana, while the Marshall-inspired Tube Drive recalled that amp’s classic British character…every distortion sound was delightfully musical.”

In addition to monster tones, the review also praises the functionality and features of the pedals. Ross finds the 7-band graphic EQ, MIDI input and 6 programmable user presets are “particularly useful for live performance.”

The very crux of your writing whilst sounding reasonable initially, did not work very well with me after some time. Someplace throughout the paragraphs you actually were able to make me a believer unfortunately only for a while. I nevertheless have a problem with your leaps in logic and one might do well to help fill in all those breaks. In the event you actually can accomplish that, I would definitely end up being impressed.
