Yes, we all know how demoralizing these cattle-calls can be - but sometimes, you just have to rise above the discomfort and put yourself out there.

Has American Idol found unknown talent?

As readers of this blog, you know how important I think Mike Varney and his unsigned artist spotlight was (and still is) for Guitar Player Magazine - if the names Yngwie, Scott Henderson, Steve Lynch, Billy Sheehan, and Vinnie Moore mean anything to you, I think you'd agree.
