Recently, Rodge caught up with Mike Gordon at a Phish soundcheck to get the low-down on how his Soundblox Pro pedals are holding up and to drop off the new Soundblox 2 Dimension Reverb for him to try out.
By the sounds of it, he's not only still rocking the spindly sounds of the BEF/Multiwave combo, but he's also been experimenting a bit more heavily with Reverb since their meeting.
Here he is rocking Phish's classic Stevie cover of 'Boogie On Reggae Woman':
And here is what sounds like a bit of Reverb on his slap line in 'Tweezer' (full disclosure: we cannot fully confirm that he is using our Soundblox 2 Dimension Reverb, we can only speculate since he does have other Reverb options available in his rig):
Here are some shots Roger got of Mike's rig. Note the selection of Soundblox Pro's alongisde the Meatball and Deep Impact. A funk bassists dream!
These are some of the rack units the Gordo and his tech Mike B. use to manage his cavernous sound.
Here's what Mike sees. This is the main footswitch controller for his entire effects set up.
